IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CAREFULLY REVIEW THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE REGISTERING FOR ONE OF OUR ROAD TESTS. This Agreement is between you and ALAFIA TESTING CENTERS hereby referred to as “ATC”. It refers to the services provided by ATC as described on our website, AlafiaTestingCenters.com. By scheduling this Road Test, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE BINDING TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. You also acknowledge that you are the parent or legal guardian of the Applicant or that you are at least 18 years of age on the day of the Road Test.
DO NOT DRIVE YOURSELF TO THE APPOINTMENT
You must have a licensed driver with you, over the age of 21 if you are driving to the appointment. If you drive alone with your Learner’s License, which is illegal, regardless of age, we will not be able to administer the test. No refund will be given.
It is your responsibility to verify your eligibility, and ensure one year has passed since "the issued date on your Learner’s License OR be at least 18 years old before taking any road test". If not, no refund will be given.
If you have failed your Road Test at the DMV/Tax Collector, you must wait 24 hours until you can be examined again. Or vice versa, if you fail our Road Test with ATC, you cannot go to the driver’s license office the same day.
You ARE NOT a licensed driver until you pick the physical license up at the DMV / Tax Collector.
Florida Learner’s Licenses Only
The State of Florida only allows us to test Florida Residents with their original valid Florida Learner’s License (Photocopies are not permitted). Only a person with a valid Florida Learner's License with a picture on it (not just a piece of paper issued by driver’s license office) can use our services (DMV Rules).

If you have an Out of State Learner’s License, you must test at a County Tax Collector.
Additional Passengers/Translators
The State of Florida does not allow us to use translators, either people or devices. Tests are done only in English. If you do not speak English, the Hillsborough County Tax Collector provides testing in 82 languages.
Parental Consent
The parent/guardian of the Applicant hereby agrees to allow their son/daughter to take part in one-on-one Road Test with a certified ATC Driving Examiner.
Paperwork
All paperwork must be filled out prior to an Applicant arriving to their road test, using the true legal name of the Applicant that matches their Learner’s License. Please have the Applicant’s original valid Learner’s License available during the Road Test.
Cancellation, No-Show Fees, or Refunds
There are no refunds or cancellations, once you purchase a spot it is YOURS, please arrive early.

Timeliness
If you are late to your appointment, effort will be made to provide a road test. However, this is not guaranteed. You will have to wait until a time slot opens up, or your road test will be cancelled and payment forfeited.
Geographical Restrictions
It is the parent/guardian/Applicant’s responsibility to ensure that their appointment is at the correct facility, as well as arrive on time.
Rescheduling Appointments
ATC, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reschedule an Applicant’s appointment based on Driving Examiner availability for our services. Due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, lack of staff, or a sudden emergency.
Vehicles
All ATC vehicles will be kept up to date with current registration, regular servicing and all necessary repairs. All necessary safety precautions will be taken before the Applicant gets in an ATC vehicle for his/her test. Should something happen to any ATC vehicle which affects its safety or mechanical operation immediately prior to and/or during a test, ATC will, at its sole discretion, either reschedule a pro-rated test or schedule another test at no cost to the Applicant on a case-by-case basis.
Personal Vehicle Use
The Applicant may choose to drive a personal vehicle while being tested by ATC Examiners. They must carry at least the legally mandated minimum amounts of liability insurance for their vehicle, registration must be current, and understand and agree their personal auto insurance will apply for any accidents/injuries that might be incurred during the test while the Applicant is driving.
Safety Behind the Wheel
ATC and its Driving Examiners reserve the right to stop a test at any time due to the Applicant’s reckless and/or careless driving or unsafe conditions. Driving Examiners may take control of the car at any point during a test if they feel that the driver is unable to complete the test safely. If a test has to be discontinued for any of these reasons, the Applicant has failed and will need to schedule another road test.
Applicant’s Physical and Mental Condition
It is the responsibility of the Applicant and/or his/her parent/guardian(s) to notify ATC if there are any physical, mental or other conditions that can affect the Applicant’s ability to drive safety. The Applicant/parent/guardian must notify ATC if there is any kind of medication that can affect the Applicant’s ability to drive safely. It is similarly the Applicant and parent/guardian’s responsibility to check if any medications affect the Applicant’s driving abilities. Parents of Applicants with learning disabilities are required to disclose these conditions with ATC prior to start of the Road Test to contribute to the safety of both Applicant and Driving Examiner.
Behavior
The Applicant must, at all times, act in a mature, respectful and appropriate manner during their road tests. Any behavior the Driving Examiner and ATC deems inappropriate and/or disruptive to the testing process can result in Applicant expulsion and failure of their test. In the case of an expulsion, no refunds will be given.

Cognitive Awareness
The Applicant agrees that he/she will not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances, or any other intoxicants or legal drugs which might induce sleepiness, nervousness, or other condition which could adversely affect his/her ability to drive an automobile or understand and comply with oral or written directions regarding the use of an automobile while on their test.
Eyesight
The Applicant agrees that his/her eyesight will be sufficient for the purposes of carefully and cautiously driving an automobile and sufficient for him/her to read and understand ordinary road signs. If he/she has received a prescription for eye wear to be used to correct any eyesight deficiency which could adversely affect his/her driving ability, that prescribed eye wear will be worn throughout participation in the program.

Examiner Development/Shadowing
As part of our ongoing Driving Examiner skill development and commitment to our level of quality and service, Alafia Testing Centers Examiners will periodically shadow one another's tests. During the course of an Applicant’s test, there may be a second Driving Examiner present in the vehicle as a silent partner observing the test.
Guarantee or Warranty
ATC DOES NOT PROMISE, WARRANT, OR GUARANTEE THAT ANY OF ITS CLIENTS WILL PASS THEIR ROAD TEST OR THAT THEY WILL NOT GET INTO ANY AUTOMOBILE CRASHES WHILE TAKING THEIR ROAD TEST. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ATC disclaims any and all express and/or implied warranties related to its program, methods, processes and/or curriculum.
Random Re-Examination
All applicants are subject to random selection for re-examination at the Driver’s License or Tax Collector office prior to the issuance of any license. Failure to pass the random re-examination will require the applicant to pass the driving skills exam prior to license issuance.
Danger
UNDERSTAND THAT TESTING APPLICANTS IS DANGEROUS AND FLUID. THE EXAMINER WILL TAKE EVERY PRECAUTION AVAILABLE TO KEEP THE APPLICANT AND VEHICLE SAFE. HOWEVER, THE APPLICANT IS OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN CONTROL, AND ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS. ACCIDENTS ARE ALWAYS A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY.
